Accessing your 5500 confirmation letter and coverage report

Each year, PPI Benefit Solutions files the Annual Return/Report Form 5500 Schedule A for the ACSA and BIEB Group Insurance Trusts. This filing includes all coverages provided and administered (billed) through the Trusts, eliminating the need for Trust members to file for these coverages.¹

How to Access Your 5500 Form Filing Letter

Client administrators with access to online bills: log into ppibenefits.com, and download your report from the Bills & Payments tab (instructions).

Clients without access to online bills: email clientservices@ppibenefits.com, to request an electronic copy. 

Important Notes

• PPI is not able to furnish copies of the actual filing.¹
• Clients may be responsible for filing Form 5500 for benefits and products purchased outside of the ACSA or BIEB Trusts, as well as any employer-sponsored fringe plans, such as cafeteria plans, educational assistance plans, or legal plans.
• For disclosure purposes, some insurance carriers of PPI administered coverages do provide employers with a coverage-specific Schedule A, but this does not mean the employer has to file their own Form 5500.
• Clients do not need to file Form 5500 for coverages administered by PPI.

As a Direct Filing Entity (DFE), PPI files a consolidated Form 5500 on behalf of the ACSA and BIEB Trusts, meaning multiple client information and coverages are grouped together onto a single Schedule A based on several factors, including carrier, coverage type, and policy year dates. Individual clients are not typically able to reconcile their specific coverage information with the filing.

2. If a client chooses to complete a separate filing, PPI can provide Plan Contributions (payments), Number of lives (participants), and Commissions (unless commissions are paid directly by the carriers.
